PARTNERING WITH UNIMED
IT'S GOOD TO HAVE A PLAN
Whether you’re supporting your health costs day to day or protecting yourself from the bigger things life can throw at you – knowing that you and your Whānau are covered is worth a lot.
So, you can choose three primary health plans designed by UniMed to make day to day healthcare more affordable and accessible to everyday families.
And their Hospital Select Plan, designed to keep premiums affordable and sustainable over time to protect your family against the high costs of surgery and help you deal with unexpected medical issues faster
Primary Care Plans
These plans are exclusive to HealthCarePlus Members and range from basic coverage which is called Primary Care to a more comprehensive plan which is called Primary Care Extra.
- The plans start from as little as $4.55* per week
- These plans have no exclusions to join and can be applied for online in less than a minute
- Subject to the plan you choose, you can get cover for dental, optical, GP costs, specialist & tests, mole mapping, vaccinations, complementary medical and many more benefits.
Hospital Select
UniMed's Hospital Select Plan is designed to keep premiums affordable and sustainable over time, protecting your family against the high costs of surgery and helping you deal with unexpected medical issues faster. Earlier intervention means less time off work or wait times for surgery, and in most cases, a better outcome or recovery.

Testimonials
Through Unimed there are benefits on top of what you can normally claim for. I was able to access a health professional through Clearhead and they have made a significant difference to my life

As a busy mum, I never focused on my own health and well-being, it was all about my kids. I now have regular dental and chiro appointments and have gone to the doctors for the first time in years. Really happy I made the decision to join.

Easy to use online portal to upload documents. Claims are processed in a timely manner. When I've needed to talk to a human on the phone, they were super helpful and took their time to ensure I understood what they were explaining. Very clear and concise information.
